Contacting the surgery
Please contact the surgery after 10:00 am on a weekday to enquire about your test results.
Our reception staff are not qualified to comment on results . It is the patients responsibility to check their results. The patient should make any necessary follow-up appointment with the doctor.
Confidentiality
The NHS has strict policies relating to confidentiality and data protection. Test results can only be released to the adult to whom they relate.
The exception to releasing results is:
If that person had given prior permission for the release of their data and information. Or if they are not capable of understanding the results.
When will my test results be ready
When you attend for a test, you will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results.
In most cases test results will be back as indicated below:
